500 Hour Yoga TTC Syllabus

Ashtanga Yoga

500 hours is a combination of 200 and 300 hours of yoga TTC, we start with the primary series in the first month and then progress our students gradually to the intermediate series of Ashtanga yoga and we systematically guide them through the complete sequence created by K. Pattabhi Jois in a traditional way which includes-

Month 1

  • Week 1 - Introduction to Ashtanga yoga (Primary series) followed by Sun salutations A & B.
  • Week 2 - Standing sequence postures & use of yoga props.
  • Week 3 - Seated sequence postures & Finishing sequence postures.
  • Week 4 - Mysore style & Teaching practice.

Month 2

  • Week 1 - Practice of Primary series guided by the instructor and Mysore style practice.
  • Week 2 - Starting with intermediate series halfway.
  • Week 3 - Full intermediate series guided by the instructor.
  • Week 4 - Mysore-style intermediate series & Teaching practice.
Vinyasa Flow
  • Introduction and benefits of Vinyasa Flow
  • How to design a Vinyasa Flow sequence

    • Yoga schools usually offer Sattvic vegetarian meals. If you are not used to a completely vegetarian meal, we recommend carrying your supplements or multivitamins

  • Borrowed Items: Any items borrowed from the school or its facilities must be returned promptly and in good condition.
  • Attendance: Full attendance is expected in all scheduled programs. In case of emergency or unavoidable absence, students must inform the administration with full details.
  • Meal Plan: If a student does not require meals on any particular day, they must notify the kitchen manager in advance to ensure smooth operations.

  • Advance Payment: All advance payments are non-refundable. However, in the event of an unforeseen situation, substitute classes may be offered to accommodate the student’s needs.
  • Course Cancellation: Students are allowed to cancel their course at any time; however, the deposit or fees paid will not be refunded.
  • Cancellation Process: There are no additional charges for cancellation. Simply inform the administration of your intention to cancel. Please note that the paid fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
